Showtime’s comedy series “Episodes” has been renewed for a fourth season. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. The new season of the Showtime and BBC co-production will include nine episodes and will go back into production in 2014.
“Episodes” stars Matt LeBlanc in his Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning role as a fictionalized version of himself. Season three – premiering Sunday, January 12th at 10:30 P.M. ET/PT – picks up with Sean (Stephen Mangan) and Beverly (Tamsin Greig), the English couple whose hit U.K. sitcom is remade for U.S. audiences and corrupted beyond recognition, back together but they soon discover that it’s not so easy to heal old wounds. Things get no easier for Matt this year as his career and ego continue to be pummeled.
New guest stars include Chris Diamantopoulos (“24”) in a season-long arc; Roger Bart (“Revenge“) appears in four episodes as LeBlanc’s agent; along with Tracy Spiridakos (“Revolution“) as a family member of actress Morning Randolph (“Mircea Monroe“).
The series is created and executive produced by award-winning writing partners David Crane (“Friends”) & Jeffrey Klarik (“Mad About You”), and is also executive produced by Jimmy Mulville through his Hat Trick production company.
