Evangeline Lilly and Barry Humprhries Join the Cast of ‘The Hobbit’

Peter Jackson announced today on Facebook that Evangeline Lilly (“Lost“) and Barry Humprhries have joined the cast of The Hobbit. Jackson also gave us a filming update.

He says the first block of shooting is complete and he has now moved into more location scouting. But on another note, Evangeline Lilly has joined the cast as a new character — the Woodland Elf, Tauriel.

Barry Humphries will be playing the Goblin King, creating a “delicate sensitivity and emotional depth this character deserves.”
