Research In Motion today announced the pending availability of Facebook 3.1 for BlackBerry smartphones. The most significant new feature of Facebook 3.1 is support for Facebook Groups. BlackBerry users will now be able to manage the groups to which they belong, including the ability to post updates, comments, and media.
Users may also scan the profiles of other group members. The other new feature of Facebook 3.1 for BlackBerry is the ability to Like comments that have been added to posts.
RIM said the update will appear in App World in the next 24 hours.
