The Federal Communications Commission has made a network speed test application available to the iPhone.
The app, which has been available to Android devices for several months, is meant to provide the FCC with feedback on the performance of the country’s wireless network operators. The app does not collect personal data, but reports on the strength of the network and its responsiveness to download/upload requests.
The app is free to install from the iTunes App Store.
