FCA’s vehicles have been speed governor with 3G internet while its competitors have move up to 4G LTE. Now, X Fiat Chrysler is finally catching up to the modern world, sadly only on a small number of models to start.
FCA is bring 4G LTE connectivity to its models, starting with the 2017 Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger and Chrysler 300. These vehicles are all equipped with the fourth-generation Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system, and only vehicles with the full-on, 8.4-inch screen will get access to LTE.
There’s no word on how much the connection will cost, or when it will become available on additional models.
