The Nintendo Switch launch lineup has been bolstered with news that EA is planning to support the NX with one or two blockbuster game releases. With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild likely to miss the Nintendo Switch console’s March release date, EA has stepped in with news that will make gaming fans very happy.
The company has announced plans to release one or two games for the Nintendo Switch, although it’s unclear what those games will be. However, according to EA CFO Blake Jorgensen, the games will be ports of existing titles, so expect something along the lines of FIFA 17 and/or Madden NFL 17.
“We haven’t yet announced what game, but you should assume that it’s one of our bigger games,” Jorgensen said (via GameSpot). “We’re excited for Nintendo.”
After supporting the Nintendo Wii U at launch, EA is being more cautious this time around. At least based on Jorgensen’s follow-up comments.
“It’s an interesting device. But I can’t yet predict how broad it’s going to be,” he continued. “Will people be interested in a portable device alongside their regular portable device that they have today?”
