Final Fantasy fans who don’t want to wait until September to get their hands on Final Fantasy 15 can download a new demo for the role-playing game right now. Square Enix released the new “Platinum Demo” for Final Fantasy 15 today, and it’s available now from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store.
The free download lets players take control of Final Fantasy 15 protagonist Noctis when he was just a child. The dream-like demo offers a unique storyline; Square Enix says the demo’s content won’t be in the final version of the game.
Final Fantasy 15‘s Platinum Demo lets RPG fans control Noctis “as he masters various weapons, magic skills and driving,” Square Enix said in a release. They’ll get help from Carbuncle, a recurring summon in the Final Fantasy series, who serves as young Noctis’ “magical guide.” A trailer for the newly released demo can be watched above.
Players who complete the demo will get exclusive access to Carbuncle in the final version of the game when it launches. Final Fantasy 15 hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 30. The game’s Platinum Demo is available for download from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store.
