Final Fantasy VI has been released for iOS for $15.99, featuring the ability to play all the main characters as the game’s protagonist.
First debuting in 1994 as the game series’ sixth installment, the game is set 1,000 years after the War of Magi, a time when all but one person — Terra — has lost their magical capabilities. Final Fantasy VI features the option to save game data to iCloud, to be shared across devices. The smartphone release includes new megacities and events that were introduced in the 2006 remake. Some events have been optimized to be played with user-friendly touch controls.
