Fox News has has announced that they are hiring Herman Cain, who campaigned for the Republican party’s presidential nomination in 2012, as a contributor.
The news network also recently hired former senator Scott Brown (a Republican) of Massachusetts and former congressman Dennis Kucinich (a Democrat) of Ohio. The additions come after the network cut ties with controversial conservative voices Sarah Palin and Dick Morris, but renewed a contract with Karl Rove to remain a contributor through 2016.
Cain is expected to provide business and political analysis during daytime and primetime programming on both Fox News and Fox Business Channel.Cain spent a decade as CEO of Godfather’s Pizza and was the GOP’s front-runner for the presidential nomination in polling during fall 2011. He ultimately suspended his campaign in December 2011 following allegations of sexual misconduct, which Cain vehemently denied.
