Fox is bringing back the “Frankenstein” franchise for a new generation. The network has ordered drama “The Frankenstein Code,” which revolves around a morally corrupt cop who is given a second chance when he’s brought back from the dead.
Rand Ravich penned the script and is exec producing for 20th Century Fox TV with Howard Gordon and Michael Cuesta, who directed the pilot for the latest take on Mary Shelley’s enduring creature creation.
Rob Kazinsky plays the central character, named Jimmy Pritchard, who is torn between old temptations and a new sense of purpose. Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Tim DeKay and Ciara Bravo also star.
“Frankenstein Code” joins three other new dramas ordered for Fox’s 2015-16 slate so far, including “Scream Queens,” “Rosewood” and “The X-Files.” Orders for pilots “Minority Report” and possibly “Lucifer” are expected imminently.
