The name Futuremark is PC benchmarking for many people. They have been in the game for over 20 years. Today we got word the company’s owners have retired the name in favor of its parent company branding. Futuremark will now be known as UL.
UL Benchmarks (Futuremark) makes and distributes the 3DMark, PCMark, and VRMark benchmarking suites of tools.
UL said that the name change would not affect existing benchmark tools. 3DMark, PCMark, and VRMark will continue to function as they did under the Futuremark branding, and UL will continue to offer professional and consumer versions of its benchmark tests.
To celebrate the company’s rebranding, UL is offering deep discounts on its benchmark software until April 30. 3DMark, PCMark 10, and VRMark are all available for 75% off the regular price
