Those who qualify can pay $200 but they need to also commit for two years and pair it with a Value voice and data plan as well as pay 20 equal payments of $20 under T-Mobile Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).
The phone will have a dual-core, 1.5GHz CPU, eight-megapixel camera, Super AMOLED touchscreen, NFC with Android Beam, and Android 4.0 preloaded.
A successor, the Galaxy Note 2, with its larger 5.5-inch screen, may arrive in stores as soon as October after making its debut at the IFA show in August.
