Jurassic World 2 director J.A. Bayona took to Twitter last night to announce his “good luck charm,” Geraldine Chaplin, will be venturing with him to the upcoming sequel. Chaplin, daughter of legendary silent film comedian Charlie Chaplin, has appeared in all of Bayona’s three previous films (The Orphanage, The Impossible, A Monster Calls) and has an extensive amount of film credits, including her father’s film Limelight, the classic Doctor Zhivago, and even Richard Attenborough’s Chaplin, where she played her own grandmother.
She joins a cast that includes returning stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, alongside Toby Jones, Justice Smith, Rafe Spall, Ted Levine, Daniella Pineda, and James Cromwell. Frank Marshall and Steven Spielberg will produce the film, which is scheduled for a release on June 22, 2018.
