“Girl Meets World” stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter are both adding Disney Channel original telepics to their resumes.
Blanchard (pictured right) will star in live-action adventure/comedy “Invisible Sister,” based on Beatrice Colin and Sara Pinto’s novel “My Invisible Sister,” with fellow Disney actress Paris Berelc who can currently be seen in XD’s “Mighty Med.” Blanchard will play a girl whose science project takes a wrong turn, causing her popular sister to become completely invisible.
Carpenter (pictured left) has landed the leading role in “Further Adventures in Babysitting,” along with Sofia Carson who is set to star in Disney’s anticipated “Descendants” later this year. The big city-set TV movie is inspired by the 1980s film “Adventures in Babysitting.”
“We know these four young actresses all have the potential for extraordinary careers, and we’re excited to give them new opportunities to showcase their talents,” said Adam Bonnett, exec VO of original programming of Disney Channels Worldwide. “We’re especially proud of Rowan and Sabrina, as they have helped drive the success of our hit series ‘Girl Meets World.’”
