The days of the McKinley High Glee Club underdogs are over — at least on “Glee.” FOX entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly confirmed to reporters that the show will move to New York City full time by the end of Season 5 — and not everyone will come along for the ride.
“Some [McKinley seniors] are going to be graduating and moving; creatively, it would be ridiculous that everybody moves to New York,” Reilly tells a small group of reporters after a panel at the 2014 Television Critics Association winter press tour. “There will be some that will graduate and move on and they’ll arc back in when we do special episodes. They’ll always be a part of it.” He adds, “But for this season, there will be a graduation, several of the cast members will move on and a few others will go to New York.”
“Glee” returns with new episodes in its former Tuesday time slot later this winter.
