According to “sources familiar with the company,” Google is planning to debut  a new subscription music service sometime during the Google I/O conference.  Reports have surfaced that Google has signed licensing deals with Universal  Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group, the three  largest  record labels in the world in preperations to launch the music  offering.

A report at The Verge claims that “Google’s subscription  services would resemble Spotify, and offer on-demand songs that would be  streamed to their PCs and mobile devices.” Apple’s service is reportedly  similar  to Pandora.
Adding to The New York Times, the Google offering won’t have a free ad-supported level of service. The report has no  knowledge of pricing tiers expected for the offering.
