Google has enhanced the way local searches are shared between devices. A user searching for a local place of interest on their computer will find that the locale has been uploaded their iPhone or Android phone. To access it on the go, all they have to do is tap a new “Recent” icon.
For the feature to work, a user must be logged in to Google and have web history enabled on the desktop. Google then sends the information to the cloud. The user can just log into Google.com’s mobile homepage from a phone or tablet and hit the Recent button. Information includes both the address as well as directions and contacts. The results will be available for about one day for security reasons.
