Google has cut the price of the Nexus 4 by $100, or 25 percent, fueling speculation that it is clearing inventory for the launch of the rumored Nexus 5. The Nexus 4 was launched in late October last year and was the first device to debut Android 4.2 ‘Jelly Bean.’ Both the 8GB and 16GB versions of the Nexus 4 have received the price cut, with the reductions available in the US, Canada, Australia, Korea, Spain and the UK.
The Nexus 4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and matched with 2GB of RAM. It centers on a 4.7-inch 720p IPS display protected by Gorilla Glass 2. It packs an 8-megapixel camera on the rear, while wireless connectivity includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11n, 3G and speeds up to HSPDA+ 42Mbps.
