Google Pay has officially expanded its reach to the web. Now, people can use Google Pay to make online purchases whether they’re browsing on their desktop or their mobile device.
Google Pay is compatible with Chrome, Firefox, and Safari on PCs and iPhones/iPads. This means Apple device users can put Google Pay to work from their phone or tablet. Google Pay supports multiple payment sources, including debit/credit cards and bank accounts.
Google says it can automatically update cards as they are about to expire, and will offer to fill in shipping and/or billing information via Chrome’s autofill tool when warranted. Google Pay is free to use on the web.
The app for Android devices is free to download from the Google Play Store.
