Google has updated its Google Contacts application for Android to version 2.2 with changes to how it looks and functions.
For example, the main contact view card brings back large photos, action buttons, and profile details. The action buttons, in particular, can be useful for quickly initiating new messages, emails, or video chats. Google says its suggested contacts tool should behave more uniformly across Google products, especially concerning those contacted frequently. The merge tool gains the ability to merge all duplicates at once directly from smartphones.
Last, users can customize the contacts list view to show only certain labels if so desired.
Google Contacts 2.2 for Android is free to download from the Play Store.
