Google has confirmed that it won’t be setting up its huge, interactive booth during 2013’s Mobile World Congress.
Per a spokesperson from Google France, the company won’t set up an extravagant booth as they have done in the past two years. Instead, they are dispatching an Android support team to assist partners.
Last year’s Google MWC booth included a variety of areas, including a smoothie bar; ice cream sandwiches; games; a large, twisting slide taking pictures of those who go down it; and, of course, a batch of Android smartphones and tablets.
Google will focus instead on standalone events such as Google I/O will take place on May 15. Most of the press believe the event will see the debut of Motorola’s X smartphone, as well as the introduction of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
