Google Inbox

Google today updated its Inbox service with features that should help people keep track of events, newsletters, and web links with less fuss.

Google says Inbox will now cluster emails regarding a single event together and always display the most up-to-date information in an easy-to-glance format. Inbox has improved how it handles newsletters by prioritizing those most often read by the user. It will minimize newsletters once they’re read to save space.

The new “save to Inbox” tool is meant to help people save web links for later. The most recent version of Inbox for Android and iOS includes the link saving tool in the sharing menu and should negate the need for people to send themselves emails with web links.

Inbox will group saved links together to make them easier to find. Inbox, an alternate email app for Gmail, is free to download from the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store.
