Leighton Meester has been cast in the The Judge.
After a lawyer (Robert Downey Jr) returns home following his mother’s death, he finds out that his estranged father – who serves as the local judge (Robert Duvall) – is suspected of murder.
Meester will join Downey Jr, Duvall, Vincent D’Onofrio and Vera Farmiga in the movie, reports Deadline. Meester is best known for her role as Blair Waldorf in The CW series Gossip Girl. She has also appeared in movies such as That’s My Boy, The Oranges and County Strong.
Release date for the Judge has yet to be announced but it is expected sometime on 2014.
