Following word yesterday that Almanac scribes Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark have signed on to write Paranormal Activity 5 comes the update, via Deadline, that franchise editor Gregory Plotkin will be making his directorial debut with the October 24, 2014 release.
Although 2013 may mark the first year since the original film’s release that October hasn’t seen a new Paranormal Activity film, 2014 is already set to make up for that. In addition to Paranormal Activity 5, Paramount Pictures will release the Latino-themed spinoff, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones on January 3.
Plotkin has served as editor on every Paranormal Activity but the first, including the upcoming The Marked Ones spinoff.
As with the rest of the series, Jason Blum and Oren Peli will produce Paranormal Activity 5.
