Microsoft has confirmed that the long-rumored first-person shooter Halo 4 is in development at the very end of their E3 press event with a brief teaser trailer, which you can see below.
Microsoft’s Don Mattrick also notes Halo 4 marks “the dawn of a new trilogy,” suggesting a trio of Halo titles are in the works.
The last time players saw Master Chief in his own adventure was 2007, with the release of Halo 3.
Halo 4 will be the first title in the flagship franchise to be developed by a studio outside of Bungie. Halo 4 has an expected launch time of holiday 2012
