Halo: Spartan Assault, the first Halo game designed for mobiles, is coming to consoles.
Microsoft announced today that Halo: Spartan Assault–originally released in July–will be released on Xbox 360 and Xbox One in December from 343 Industries and Vanguard Games.
No price for the console version of Halo: Spartan Assault was specified. The Windows 8 and Windows Phone version currently sells for $7.
The Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of Halo: Spartan Assault will feature an all-new online co-op mode, as well as the previously released single-player Operation Hydra expansion.
Multiplayer between the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of Halo: Spartan Assault is not supported. Microsoft did not say if cross-platform play between console and PC or console and smartphones will be supported.
Microsoft said previously that cross-platform play between consoles and PC “makes sense.”
