In addition to 500 GB and 1 TB capacities, the new drives come packed with 3 GB of Touro Cloud Backup for free. Users can access files from any web browser, and share content by sending others a web link. Users can also option to upgrade the cloud storage to 250 GB for $59 per year.
According to HGST, the included Touro S local backup software quickly and automatically backs up photos, music, videos, and documents with just a few simple clicks. Once the software is installed, backups run every 30 minutes by default, but users can schedule custom backups on a time or day that is more convenient.
These two Touro S drives join the Touro Mobile Pro, Touro Mobile, Touro Desk Pro and Touro Desk drives. The “Pro” versions come packed with the backup software, 3 GB of cloud storage and remote access while the non-Pro models do not. Customers can see a full comparison by heading here.
