HMD Global Launches Three New Budget Priced Nokia Phones

HMD Global has refreshed it lineup of affordable Android phones with the Nokia 5.1Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 2.1. Each new phone is an update to last year’s devices. All three run Android 8 Oreo with Cat 4 LTE, USB-C, GPS, and 3.5mm headphone jacks.

  • Nokia 5.1: The 5.1 has a 5.5-inch full HD+ screen with the 2:1 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a MediaTek 6755S processor and includes 2/3 GB of RAM and 16/32GB of storage with support for memory cards up to 128 GB. The primary camera has a 16-megapixel sensor with PDAF and flash, while the front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor. Other specs include a 3,000mAh battery and Bluetooth 4.2. The Nokia 5.1 comes in black, blue, and copper and costs about $250.
  • Nokia 3.1: The 3.1 has a 5.2-inch full HD+ screen with the 2:1 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a MediaTek 6750N processor and includes 2/3 GB of RAM and 16/32GB of storage with support for memory cards up to 128 GB. The primary camera has a 13-megapixel sensor at f/2 with LED flash, while the front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor at f/2.2. Other specs include a 2,990mAh battery andBluetooth 5.0. The Nokia 3.1 comes in black, blue, and white and costs about $160.
  • Nokia 2.1: This entry-level phone ships with the dialed-down Android Go variant of Oreo. It includes a 5.5-inch HD screen with the 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 425 processor with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. It has an 8-megapixel camera on back and a 5-megapixel camera on front. Other specs include a 4,000mAh battery. The Nokia 2.1 comes in blue and silver and costs about $115.
