Patricia Richardson has booked a guest-starring role on Last Man Standing, reuniting the actress with her Home Improvement co-star Tim Allen, EW is reporting. Richardson will play Helen Potts, a recently divorced neighbor of Mike’s (Allen) who has gotten into a bit of conflict with Mike’s frenemy, Chuck (Jonathan Adams).
Helen likes to do home repairs and stubbornly insists on running her tile saw early in the morning, which disturbs the neighborhood. Helen is cantankerous and bitter about her ex-husband, who was supposedly good with tools, but more often destroyed things around their house. While Helen and Mike butt heads, Helen is able to charm his wife, Vanessa (Nancy Travis).
Richardson isn’t the first Home Improvement alum to appear on Allen’s comedy. Last Man Standing previously hosted both Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Richard Karn. Last Man Standing returns with a one-hour season premiere on Friday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
Wow, what memories …. hope this show is as good as I hope it will be!
