Canadian cell provider Bell is now shipping the HTC Incredible S. Virgin Mobile, Bell’s sibling, has also now launched the device. At either provider, the phone costs $500 CAD ($519) contract-free or $100 CAD ($104) on a three-year contract with a voice and data plan. Bell requires a minimum $50 CAD ($52) per month plan while Virgin users can get a $40 CAD plan ($41.50).
The Incredible S has a four-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with an 480×800 resolution, an eight-megapixel camera with dual LED flash in the back, a 1.3-megapixel camera in the front and a 1GHz second-generation Snapdragon underneath. Android 2.2 is preloaded and 1.1GB of space is onboard. Either phone ships with an 8GB microSD memory card.
As with most Canadian carriers, the Wi-Fi hotspot feature is both active and carries no extra charge for those who already have a 1GB or larger data plan.
