Hulu adding yet another exciting title to that list with the announcement of our straight-to-series order for Difficult People – a half hour comedy series produced by Amy Poehler and starring Julie Klausner (Billy on the Street) and Emmy®-nominated Billy on the Street host Billy Eichner.
Difficult People comes to Hulu in our first collaboration with Universal Cable Productions. This hilarious series follows Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner as best friends and struggling comedians in New York City who can’t figure out why they aren’t likeable. Klausner wrote the pilot and will also serve as an executive producer for the series alongside Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation) and Dave Becky (Louie).
Difficult People will start production early next year.
