Hulu announced that its streaming service will soon debut on the Nintendo Switch, which was released as a straightforward game console.
Its lack of streaming services app s was one of the primary complaints against the Switch at launch. Modern consoles are expected to do more than just play games. Hulu’s arrival on the Switch is a great started to address those needs. Plus it will make a great screen to watch TV shows and movies on the go.
In a blog post, Hulu said that its Switch app will support its standard service as well as the Hulu with Live TV offering that debuted in May. The company didn’t state what resolutions will be supported. The Switch’s display is 720p, but it can output up to 1080p docked.
