Max Landis is branching out from Superman: American Alien and is launching a new series under Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment titled Green Valley.
Landis will be joined by talented penciler Giuseppe Camuncoli (Amazing Spider-Man), Cliff Rathburn on inks, Jean-Francois Beaulieu on colors, and Pat Brosseau on lettering duties. The nine-issue miniseries will focus on the Knights of Kelodia, a group who has seen and accomplished a great deal in their time, but nothing will prepare them for what lies in the green valley.
“Green Valley was an idea I had when I was a very little kid,” said Landis. “As I got older, most of my ideas from when I was small sounded stupider and stupider. But Green Valley persisted in my mind, and grew. I’m glad to see it finally come to life so beautifully.”
From the four-page preview, it looks as if the book will have a wonderful sense of humor about itself, and the art is already looking fantastic. Green Valley #1 isn’t slated to hit stores until Wednesday, October 5th, but you can check out an early preview in the gallery.
Landis is certainly keeping busy these days. In addition to American Alien and Green Valley, the popular writer has also been working on his TV Series Dirk Gently and two films, Bright and the much anticipated Power Rangers. Things don’t show any sign of slowing down.
