Instagram is discontinuing its Photo Map feature, which allowed people to see their photos on a map.
The change was confirmed to Mashable via email. “Photo Map was not widely used, so we’ve decided to remove the feature and focus on other priorities,” said the company. Instagram began disabling the feature for users last week.
Separately, Instagram recently updated its iOS app with a new exposure tool that is available when shooting stories. The tool helps users correct for low-light scenes. Instagram didn’t say if or when the feature would be added to the Android version of its mobile app.
