Intel Earns Top Spot on EPA’s Green Power Rankings

This week, The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ranked Intel first on its Green Power Partnership Rankings list, which showcases the annual green power purchases of leading organizations in the United States and across individual industry sectors.

The Green Power Partnership works with a wide variety of leading organizations — from Fortune 500 companies to local, state and federal governments, and a growing number of colleges and universities.

Intel’s Annual Green Power Usage was 2,502,052,000 kWh.  The rest of the top, in ranking order is:  Kohl’s Department Stores, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. / California and Texas Facilities, Whole Foods Market, Johnson & Johnson, City of Houston, TX, Starbucks, City of Austin, TX, Staples and Hilton Worldwide.

Previously, Intel was named the EPA Partner of the Year in 2008, 2009 and 2011, and received the EPA Green Power Leadership Award in 2010
