Apple is now seeding the iOS 4.3.2 update through iTunes. As anticipated, the firmware primarily addresses two problems. The first is blank or frozen video during FaceTime calls, while the second involves being unable to connect to a 3G network using an iPad. Apple claims that the latter affects “international” iPad owners, however, despite public complaints from Verizon subscribers.
Also included are various security updates. The firmware is available for the iPhone 3GS, GSM-based iPhone 4s, first- and second-generation iPads, and third- and fourth-gen iPod touches.
For Verizon iPhone 4 owners Apple has released iOS 4.2.7, applying the same fixes as v4.3.2. It marks the first time Apple has updated the Verizon firmware since early February, when the iPhone first became available on Verizon’s network. The v4.2.6 code did however include features that would only appear on all devices with v4.3, such as personal hotspots.
