TV Guide is reporting that David Boreanaz, former star of both Angel and BTVS, seen most currently on the popular police drama Bones, is using Twitter to lobby Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, for a guest spot on the hit show.
In the finale of Downton’s second season, the family decides that eldest daughter Mary should be sent to America, to weather out the storm of a nasty scandal that will potentially be exposed by a spurned fiance. In the wake of all the changes brought to the family during WWI, her father, the Earl of Grantham (Hugh Bonneville), tells her to “Find a cowboy in the Middle West and bring him back to shake us up a bit.”
Boreanaz tweeted – “I’d like to be that American cowboy who shakes things up at Downton Abbey. I’m open for a visit Mr Fellowes. #ITV @masterpiecepbs,” at this point fans of Downton will have to wait and wonder.
