On Friday, Apple updated iTunes to version 11.0.5, which fixes an issue with “iTunes in the Cloud,” a part of the free iCloud service that automatically backs upĀ iTunes Store purchases. The issue caused some downloads or playing of recently-redownloaded files to “play unexpected items” rather than what the user intended to get. The update is available for both OS X, Windows (32-bit) and 64-bit Windows implementations (Vista, 7 or 8). The fix for the problem was originally seen in the latest iOS 7 beta currently being tested by developers.
The download for the Windows 64-bit version is 86.68MB in size, while the Mac and Windows (32-bit) versions weigh in at 187.46MB and 84.99MB respectively.
The Windows 32-bit version supports Windows XP (SP2 or later) and the 32-bit versions of Windows Vista, 7 and 8. The Mac version requires OS X 10.6.8 or higher.
The update will appear in Software Update, and is also available separately from Apple’s support website (Windows 64 link, Mac and Windows 32-bit link).
