Jot Touch Pressure-Sensitive Touchscreen Stylus for iOS and Android

Adonit has begun shipping its Jot Touch, a stylus that is said to work with any touchscreen device. A dampening tip integrates a transparent disc with enough contact area to register touch input on capacitive screens, while enabling users to see where the mark will be made. When paired with a second- or third-generation iPad via Bluetooth, the stylus provides advanced features such as pressure sensitivity and shortcut buttons.

Both of the electronic features require “Jot Ready Apps” that take advantage of Adonit’s own SDK. Apps can then use the 256-level pressure data to change parameters such as stroke width, while the shortcuts can be programmed to various features such as undo and redo.

Current Jot Ready apps include painting and sketching apps Procreate, ArtRage, Sketch Club, ArtStudio, DeepSketch, Soonr Scribble, and SketchBook Express/Pro; note-taking titles Note Taker HD, Notes Plus, and PDFpen; educational app ABC; and animation utility Animation Desk.

The Jot Touch is now available for $100.
