Sony Pictures has released the new full trailer, both domestic and international versions, for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle – the upcoming sequel to the family adventure tale.
The story follows four teenagers who are sucked into Jumanji’s world – pitted against creatures, traps and puzzles. To survive, they must play as characters from the game.
Meek Spencer becomes a brave explorer (Dwayne Johnson); hulky jock Fridge becomes a tiny genius (Kevin Hart); It-girl Bethany becomes a bookworm professor (Jack Black); and unathletic Martha becomes an amazonian warrior (Karen Gillan).
It has been revealed by the producers that because it’s a video game world setting, each of the ‘characters’ has three lives – and therefore undergo multiple, outlandish onscreen deaths.
Nick Jonas, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Alex Wolff and Morgan Turner co-star in the Jake Kasdan-directed film which opens December 20th.
