Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin have joined the cast of Jason Reitman’s adaptation of Labor Day.
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Joyce Maynard and follows the story of Henry, a thirteen-year-old loner who spends most of his time watching television and dreaming of his female classmates. He is also bent on making his mother, Adele happy, even though he can never seem to do it.
Reitman will produce the movie with partner Helen Estabrook of Right of Way films, along with Russ Smith and Lianne Halfon of Mr. Mudd productions. Steven Rales and Mark Roybal are executive producing through Indian Paintbrush.
