Blumhouse Productions and Dimension Films announced today that Keri Russell will star in the upcoming supernatural thriller Dark Skies, written and directed by Scott Stewart (Priest, Legion). Jason Blum and his Blumhouse Productions are producing the film alongside Alliance Films which will fully finance the picture.
The film, scheduled to go into production this summer, is described as a psychological thriller about a suburban couple whose lives become a nightmare when a terrifying alien presence enters their home each night to prey upon their children. Increasingly isolated from skeptical friends and neighbors, the couple is forced to take matters into their own hands to save their family.
“Scott has written a terrifying script and Keri is the perfect actress to help bring his vision to the big screen,” said Jason Blum. “Blumhouse is excited to work with Dimension and Alliance on sharing ‘Dark Skies‘ with fans across the world.”
