Killer is Dead, the assassin action game from developer Grasshopper Manufacture, is being ported to Windows PC and will be released May 9 in Europe and the U.K., publisher Deep Silver announced today.
The original game launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in August 2013. The PC port is being developed by Kadokawa Games, which published the console release in Japan.
Known as the Nightmare Edition, the PC version will include some new content and features over the existing game. On the new Nightmare Mode difficulty level, players will only have three options to kill enemies: headshots, Adrenaline Burst and Dodge Burst. The Nightmare Edition will also come with the Smooth Operator Pack, which was available only as a pre-order bonus for the console version of the game; it will be unlocked after episode 3. And after one playthrough, the PC version will allow players to rewatch cutscenes and get more details on characters in the Theater Mode.
The Nightmare Edition will cost £19.99 in the U.K. and €19.99 in Europe, and will be available both digitally and at retail. Deep Silver will release Killer is Dead: Nightmare Edition on May 9 in North America for $19.99; although North America it will only be available digitally.
