Kingston has announced that it has added two new mSATA models to its SSDNow mS200 series of SSDs. The added capacities are 240 GB and 480 GB.
Both of the units are built with SandForce 2281 controllers and feature a SATA3 (6 Gb/s) interface.
The 240 GB model has read speeds of up to 540 MB/s and write speeds of up to 530 MB/s. The 480 GB variant is a little slower with sequential read and write speeds up to 530 MB/s and 340 MB/s, respectively. It is the most durable model Kingston has in this lineup, as it does have an endurance of up to 1562 TBW (Terabytes Written). The 240 GB variant will endure up to 585 TBW. Both units carry an MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) of one million hours.
No word on exact pricing yet, but we can expect these units to be priced in line with market pricing.
