Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) will join Mark Walhberg in the Peter Berg-directed action film Mile 22 for STXfilms.
The script tells the story of an elite American intelligence officer who, when aided by a top-secret tactical command unit, tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of the country.
Peter Berg helms the project that already has a cast that includes John Malkovich, MMA star Ronda Rousey and “The Raid” star Iko Uwais. The plan is for a potential franchise to come out of this including a TV series spin-off and VR projects
Graham Roland and Lea Carpenter wrote the script while Berg, Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson are producing. Filming is due to begin in late November.
