A T-Mobile version of the Android 4.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S III has leaked online. The Jelly Bean update that brings the device up to 4.1.1, appearing on the XDA-Developers forum in a post by user LuffarJoh, appears to be an early version with some parts of the operating system not working properly or unavailable.
The update uses TouchWiz, making the general look and feel appear generally unchanged. Wi-Fi is not stable to use, the stock browser and video player have some issues, and key feature Google Now isn’t reliably functioning. Anyone looking to install the update need to be running the stock T-Mobile ICS ROM first and will probably lose root access after applying it.
A Jelly Bean update were issued for the Galaxy Nexus last month while the official release of the Galaxy S III version is said to be taking place in the near future.
