Lexa Doig (Stargate SG-1) will play a doctor on the Canadian sci-fi spinoff Primeval: New World, GateWorld reports.
The Andromeda actress will reportedly appear in the show’s two-part season finale.
Eureka star Colin Ferguson has also been cast in an unspecified part, while Andrew-Lee Potts – who played Connor in the original UK Primeval – will reprise his role late in the first season.
Also cast in the show’s premiere run are Louis Ferreira (Stargate Universe) and Dan Payne (The Cabin in the Woods).
Niall Matter – who plays hero Evan Cross – recently claimed that Primeval: New World has a “harder edge” than the original series.
The series will air on Watch in the UK and Space in Canada. It is currently unclear if ITV will broadcast the show.
