LG took its new line of passive 3D G2 Google TV models to New York this week for Internet Week. The smart TVs feature redesigned user interfaces and the more powerful L9 dual-core chipset, which is based on ARM architecture, and a quad-core GPU.
The sets will ship with the G2 Magic Remote, which sport a QWERTY keyboard, and gesture and voice recognition. Each TV ships with six pairs of passive 3D glasses.
The G2 UI has been updated to focus on content selection and browsing. The sets are capable of multi-tasking, allowing users to search the Internet and connect to social networks while watching television.
The LG Smart TV with Google TV G2 series will go on sale later in May, with a 47-inch model and 55-inch model priced at $1,700 and $2,300, respectively.
