LG at the eve of Mobile World Congress released details on the Optimus 3D. The Android-basedunit will have dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP4 chip that not only enables the stereoscopic 3D recording . The graphics core is touted as twice as fast as the “nearest competitor” and has four times as many video decoders.

The unit earns its name due to the dual rear cameras that can take 3D images as well as a 4.3-inch, glasses-free 3D display. LG has also confirmed that it will share 3D over the HDMI output. In keeping with most recent LG smartphones, the Optimus 3D will have DLNA media sharing over the local network, although the size of 3D video might preclude its being shared over Wi-Fi.

Other devices slated to show have already been confirmed is the Honeycomb-powered G-Slate (Optimus Pad outside the US) as well as the Optimus 2X and Optimus Black. The 2X is already shipping to some European countries.
