Lionsgate has updated their release calendar, moving Hasbro‘s My Little Pony movie to open a month earlier than originally planned. Previously set for release November 3, 2017, the My Little Pony movie will now hit theaters on October 6, 2017. The studio has meanwhile set Woody Allen’s latest, Cafe Society, to debut this July 15 in limited release. It will then expand July 22 before going wide on July 29.

My Little Pony begins as a new dark force threatens Ponyville, leading the Mane 6 to embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship and save their home. The My Little Pony movie will feature all new music, with Jayson Theissen is directing. The voice cast is set to include Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow, The Girl on the Train) as a brand new character with Kristin Chenoweth, Tara Strong, Cathy Weseluck, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain and Ashleigh Ball voicing the Mane 6 — Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity.

Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis are producing My Little Pony with Meghan McCarthy and Michael Vogel co-executive producing. Meghan McCarthy, fan-favorite writer and producer for the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic animated series, is penning the screenplay, which will be produced by Hasbro’s Allspark Pictures.

Cafe Society, meanwhile, offers a 1930s romantic comedy shot on location in New York and Los Angeles. It stars Jeannie Berlin, Steve Carell, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Corey Stoll and Ken Stott and is both written and directed by Allen.
